From a young age, I have been drawn to the world of film and motion pictures. I have just recently completed my Bachelor of Creative Media Production. During my final year at Massey University in 2020 I worked on a dystopian sci-fi short film; Blood Tropicana, further details can be found in this portfolio.
I am always looking for new and rewarding opportunities through which to grow and develop my career in filmmaking.

Personal Profile
My name is Conna Greenem, I am an enthusiastic filmmaker who has recently graduated from Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. I completed a Bachelor of Creative Media Production, majoring in video & sound. I am currently looking for work within the creative industry while simultaneously working on the clothing business I created in 2020.
Prior to my current studies, I attended the Eastern Institute of Technology where I completed a Diploma in Sport and Health Science. Throughout my years of tertiary education, I have developed innovative thinking skills, confidence, motivation, and teamwork.
The numerous opportunities I have had to work alongside other students as well as with mentors and clients have allowed me to develop in a way that is suited to the creative community.
Photography and film is my passion, but I also enjoy traveling, spending time with friends & family, music, snowboarding, and being outdoors.
Films are phenomenal — they have the power to transport us to another time and place. As a creative individual, this is something that has attracted me to pursue a career in this industry and I look forward to where the world of films could take me.

Blood Tropicana is a 12-minute sci-fi short film set in a dystopian Wellington. Frank, still grieving his late wife, decides to impersonate an officer at the I.C.A, the specialists in tracking and deporting overstayers. Frank begins to question his fascist world-views when he confronts an illegal immigrant inside the seedy speakeasy, Blood Tropicana. The film explores the themes of migration, corruption, prejudice, and loss.
